White or yellow coloured aluminium oxide sandpaper sheets for hand and machine sanding of wood, fillers, decorating materials and metals. The paper backing is heavy enough for machine use but means the coarser grits tend to crack if you fold the sheet in half – it’s not as flexible as other sheets. It is the most popular choice for painters & decorators who prefer a fairly rigid sheet. Known as ‘Production Paper’ to the car body trade and ‘Cabinet Paper’ to woodworkers. Aluminium oxide makes it suitable for all types of wood, especially the resinous types, wood, mineral bases composites, glass fibre, fillers and finishes. For fine denibbing between coats, however a more flexible silicon carbide sheet is preferable.
